Opening Shift Duties – Heavenly Havens Ice Creamery

Who is handling checklist? (Your First Name & Last Inital)*
One person is responsible for making sure everything on the checklist has been completed to properly.

Beginning of Tasks
Below you will find the various tasks which you should complete at the beginning of your opening shift.

IF A Customer walks into the store while you completing the following tasks. Just tell them, "Hello, we are just opening the store. I will be right with you in one minute." and finish the opening procedure first.
Did you put the Door Key back in lockbox?*
- Yes, I did.
Did you turn on ALL lights in the store?*
- Yes, its LIT!
Did you put your bags, purse or any loose items in a locker?*
Book bags, purses or items that can not fit in a single locker MUST be kept in your vehicle or do not bring it in store.
- Yes, all items are stored in locker.
- No, I don't have anything to store in locker.
Did you "Clock In"?*
Please DO NOT clock earlier than 10 minutes before your scheduled shift.
- Yes, I clocked in for my shift!
Did you turn on "Pre-Packages" Display Case Lights?*
- Yes, its LIT!
Did you "Turn on" the Music?*
We have a stereo system, which plays music from the attached iPod / iPhone. (We allow you to play your choice of music - BUT we ask you to keep it Family friendly & contain no foul language / sexual references. Lets keep it Rated E for Everyone.)
- Yes, Music is on!
Did you "Turn on" the TV / MENU?*
The TV needs to be turned on so the menu can be displayed.
- Yes, the TV is on & Menu is showing
Did you Place / Or Turn on the Open Signs, Unlock Doors & Open Window Shades?*
At This Moment, you are now open. There are a few things for you to do to complete the "Opening Procedure".

- Yes, ATM Sign is On & Hung Up
- Yes, Doors unlocked & Shades opened
Did you setup the "inside" chairs & tables?
- Yes, I setup all tables & chairs!
- Covid Rules, no tables & chairs.
Did you remove all the Ice Cream Lids, from the Dipping Boxes?*
- Yes, I removed all lids & placed in sink to be washed.
Did you turn on Water & place Scoopers in "Water Wells" attached to the Dipping Boxes?*
- Yes, Water is ON & Scoopers IN!
Did you Turn On the Dipping Box Lights?*
- Yes, all the lights are turned on!
Did you Turn On the Smoothie Machine?*
- Yes, smoothie machine is turned on!
Did you "Fill Ice to Line" for Smoothie Machine?*
- Yes, smoothie machine ice is full!
Did you turn the "Drink Cooler" Lights on?*
- Yes, its Lit!
Did you turn on the Soft Serve Ice Cream Machines?
If Ice Cream Mix is low please fill.
- Yes, I turned on the machines.
- No, there was a problem!
Please describe the problem:*
Did you put on the "Red Stars" for the Soft Serve Machines?*
- Yes, they are on!
Did you turn ON the Hot Fudge, Hot Caramel, Condiment Warmer & Chocolate Hard Shell Dip?*
- Yes, I turned everything on!
Did you fill up the Cleaner Milkshake Cup with fresh water?*
- Yes, we're ready to go!
Did you turn on the Keurig / Coffee Machine?*
- Yes, It is turned on!
- No, there was a problem.
Did you fill up dish sink water / sanitizer with new?*
In order to maintain a healthy & clean environment we need to make sure the water we are using is changed regularly.
- Yes, fresh water & chemical procedure has been completed.
Did you remove "Pint & Quart Freezer" door stop?*
- Yes, door stop is removed.
Did you turn on the "Pint & Quart Freezer" light?*
- Yes, its LIT!
Did you close the "Storage Room Door"?*
- Yes, its closed!

Post-Opening Tasks
At this point you pretty much have completed / opened up the store properly. You have a full day ahead of you, so we ask you to also take care of the following tasks as these are to ensure the store is ready for any "Rush".
Did you re-file the "Flavor Tags"
The "Flavor Tags" from the basement need to be filed back into the Flavors Folder.
- Yes, Flavor Tags have been refiled!
Did you check front parking / outside seating areas?*
Everyone likes a clean eating, family & work environment. Clean up any trash on property, check trash cans, clean tables off & push in chairs.
- Yes, we're all clean!
